Biography

Nadine is a motivated and enthusiastic professional with 17 years of experience in communication, teaching English for Multilingual Speakers, interpreting, and translation. This includes positions such as ESL instructor, LINC technician, freelance translator, community and medical interpreter, academic research, teaching assistant, office manager, administrative assistant, customer service and guest relation agent.

Nadine cultural/interpreting experience was the corner- stone on which her teaching experience was developed and built upon. Teaching and tutoring students from all facets of the society with respect and appreciation, regardless to race, ethnic background, faith, age, gender identity and expression, sexual orientation, physical and mental disability, sharpened my teaching skills.

Nadine enjoys designing original lesson plans using and integrating different learning methods that are culturally sensitive, age-appropriate and innovative to accommodate all types of learners. I combine different approaches such as the art and musical approach, Lexical approach, and communicative language teaching approach to teaching English as a second language to maximize learning outcomes of students individually and collectively. By combining various traditional and technology tools, I was able to enhance the learning experience of students and keep them motivated. Embracing a culture of effective listening, providing constructive and detailed feedback to individuals creating a meaningful experience for students.
